Dear Doris, 

Well, how's the summer going? I'm having a wonderful time with my kids up in Harlem. I'm with them from 9-5, 5 days a week starting with playing the piano for the Bible school in the mornings (& playing with the kids between hymns).  Afternoons we're working on a community cooperation project of cleaning up the backyards of the neighborhood. Whitewashing the fences, clearing up stones & garbage & planting flowers are the order of the day.  Then from 4-5 I teach a music class with a girl from Juillard [[Juilliard]].
