Dear Doris

You and your male situation! I had a strange experience Friday night. Millie and I were supposed to go to choir practice but I wanted to go to the show afterward. Millie was upset over her recent love-spat; and was mad; felt like raising cane, she had seen the picture the night before but got out before it was all over, but went out in George's car after wards & didn't get home until 11:45 and her mother was mad so she said she couldn't go out nights after that.

Snookie was supposed to go to a dance and I didn't know it but he left before we did. When we took the long way around we landed in the square. Snookie was in front of us talking to two good looking soldiers, one shorter and the other taller than me. He stopped talking just then and walked on. (Snookie). The soldiers turned around and the short one took Millie by the arm and said where are we going. Millie said Get the - out! and we walked onto church. There was no one there so we said let's go after the soldiers we felt like raising cane and we saw them just closing the street. Millie said You've got 4ยข extra let's get a paper. They were standing in front of the drug store and when we went in they followed us in and out again.

I said c'mon Millie let's go to the show. The short one said Yes let's go to the show. The tall one was shy and just stood there and the other one started walking with us.
Buzzy Harris was on the corner Yum! Yum! and kept watching me as we now walked up and down the street to get rid of them. Boy! was I embarrased! We were passing Buzzy when I said, "But Millie I still want to" with the soldiers just behind us. Buzzy said You do?! I said Now wait don't get me wrong. He thought I wanted to go with the soldiers but I wanted to go to the show
