Dear Doris:

Received your most welcome letter & was happy to hear from you. Thank's [[Thanks]] for telling me who that other person was it had me thinking for awhile.

So your school had Competitive Drill and you came in First & Second not bad keep up [[strikethrough]] if [[/strikethrough]] the good work. Yes we had that stuff too & we were pretty good at it but we never came in first thats [[that's]] the only trouble.

You say your [[you're]] going to Mass when school is out & that your [[you're]] going to Cambridge do you know some one there? Yes Cambridge is very near Somersville.
