As soon as he thought an animal was in the trap he went to see. He found a deer in the trap. He took the deer out and tied her up and led her home. She was a doe. He gave her some turnip but she would not eat. He gave her some water in a pail then he went away. When he came back the water was gone. He put the doe in a cage and untide he. He named her Fleet Foot. Fleet Foot liked to go out with the boy. The boys name was Leroy.

One day when they were out they saw a fox in a trap. Leroy took the fox out of the trap and tied him and took him home
