DESKAIDE       THE SILENT SECRETARY      1942

January 30 Friday

Fair. I went to school. I did 20 rows of brown. Mother bought me a new pink skirt/wool/It will be delivered tomorrow.

January 31 Saturday

I had a very bad [[nosey?]] cold
Rainy. I stayed home. I got my 6 Ponds shades!!! + my new pink plain wool skirt came!! I took it up + it is just the right length and tight enough!! 1 large catfish died - I have 4 left. I changed the catfish & sea anemones- 12 left.  I did 50 rows of brown!!! This is my record [[crossed out]] longest [[/crossed out]] record now - it was 35.
I did 96 rows last week not counting today!! It looks like this now: about 1/3 done.
