!!!!!!! Snowed about 12 inches, 1 ft, last night and most of today! The School I used to go to in Arlington (grade 2-6) won the 1st prize in a national contest for the best school paper (Grammer school contest)!!! It was Henry Clay School across from Mrs. Allard's!! I knocked down Carolyn's snow fort when she and Grace (red haired girl a little younger than Carolyn who lives 1 house away from Carolyn)
[[image of houses and road with "←her" and "←us"]] were having a fight. She claimed I knocked it down twice but I didn't!

DESKAIDE * SILENT SECRETARY * 1942

MARCH 30
MONDAY

Fair. I went to school. A lot of the snow melted. I got my allowance - 15¢. I have 5¢ in my spending money now - pd back last $$ I owe. Dolores didn't go to school - she had tonsillitis - I brought her gym notes for test. I used my new notebook to school. I am putting people's names on front of it V (Victory) names of kids etc. Can't speak to Carolyn again because she demanded I come out and get my punishment for knocking down her snow fort yesterday.
