[[header]] DESKAIDE * THE SILENT SECRETARY * 1942 [[/header]]

May 23 Saturday

Fair + [[strikethrough]] rainy a little [[/strikethrough]]. I stayed home. In the afternoon Dolores + I went to "Mr. Bug Goes to Town" + serial "Spymasher" at the "Ashcan" (Ashton) We started to the Wilson to see "The Male Animal" but it was too far so we had to go to this one. It was pretty good but not very. Cost 30 cents. We each got a double dip 5 cent cone (strawberry) afterwards (35 cents in all) + looked for graduation dresses - white short. I saw a beautiful ivory like pink bracelet + shell necklace (28 cents each) I am going to buy. I saw the squirrell Bill Brian lost. I want to catch it for "reasons."

Transcription Notes:
Can't quite make out the strikethrough on this page; I can almost make out rain and too but I'm not sure what's written in between those words.
