FRIDAY

Fair. In the morning we went down town. Mother did lots of errands at museum, bought voile at W.D. sale, got fish aquarium plants + aquarium mending stuff (leak) Mabel's present - a 79¢ comb + compact set, with rose in center, of blue. I got a lovely red compact set for myself (79¢) like this: round compact, 3 inch diameter (Mabel's is slightly less wide) + 3/8" thick/ Mabel's is thicker) + mirror + puff inside:

[[image of compact]] gold rim, red, red leaves in white center. We also got 50¢ bicycle lock.
Comb is red in holder, beautifully curved.
I also bought 3 candles (10¢
Red, yellow, + blue (colors all way through)
I spent 89¢ out of my $6.80. I have $5.91 left.

$6.80 - .89 = 5.91
5.91 + .89 = 6.80
