DESKAIDE * THE SILENT SECRETARY * 1942
OCTOBER 3
THURSDAY

Fair. I woke up at 5:00 feeling sickish. I got sicker + sicker + vomited + couldn't walk around so I went to bed all day. I ached all over and couldn't even stand the radio or sleep or eat - ate nothing
but water all day. Mother gave me a pill which made my fever go & I was allright the rest of the day
beginning at 4:00 PM. Dolores came over. (I think she gave it to me- 3 day grip.)
