DESKAIDE THE SILENT SECRETARY 1942 NOVEMBER 4 WED Fair. I went to school as usual. I had quite a lot of homework. Dolores came over in the evening. [[Footnote]] "A drop of ink may make a million think"--BYRON NOVEMBER 5 THURSDAY Fair & very cold in morning (heavy frost) but warmed up a lot in the afternoon. I went to school as usual. Dad starts to go to Beltsville tomorrow - in Maryland - 15 mi. each way farther - 20 miles - 40 miles per day! He has to get there by 8! (instead of 9) & gets out at 4:30 - gets home about 5:30. We will have to get up at 5:30!! Dolores came over in the evening & gave me another typing lesson. Since I do 1/2 hr. singing in the evening & piano in morning (15 mins) & homework, I haven't practiced any on it. I had quite a lot of homework.
