DESKAIDE THE SILENT SECRETARY 1942

NOVEMBER

TUESDAY

[[crossed out]] Fair [[crossed out]] Rainy. I went to school (walked back in afternoon - wasn't raining much). I stayed home all evening & did my homework. Queer horrible program at 8:00 - WJSU - "Chicken Heart" - how a chicken heart grew so much it covered a whole city - horrifying. I got 6 free samples of Pond's powder - was supposed to [[crossed out]] to [[/crossed out]] get a tube of cold cream, but they wrote me a few days ago saying they had no more sample tubes (metal shortage, I guess.)
