I stayed home all evening & did my homework. Queer horrible program at 8:00 - WJSU - "Chicken Heart" - how a chicken heart grew so much it covered a whole city - horrifying. I got 6 free samples of Pond's powder - was supposed to [[crossed out]] to [[/crossed out]] get a tube of cold cream, but they wrote me a few days ago saying they had no more sample tubes (metal shortage, I guess.) [[Footnote]] "Better were it to be unborn than to be ill bred"--SIR W. RALEIGH $ $ $ $ SINING LESSON NOVEMBER 25 WEDNESDAY Rainy. It went to school - we get of Thur. & Friday - This is Thanksgiving. After school (I had some homework but didn't [[crossed out]] ent [[/crossed out]] do it). I went to my singing lesson instead of [[cross out]] lov [[/crossed out]] Friday night. Cleared up in afternoon but windy. We had planned to finish that lawn, but I took my lesson & leaves were still wet. So I went to Mrs. Dice's (2 houses from us) & got 2 boxes of Christmas cards to sell for her with Dolores. We sold them & 1 more & mother said to get home at 8:00 but we got home at 9:00!! We got 15 [[cents symbol]] apiece (10 [[cents symbol]] for each box we sell.) I had $3.50 & have $3.65 now. [[Footnote]] "We cannot always oblige, but we can always speak obligingly"--VOLTAIRE
