Conversations with Minnie Evans

Mrs Starr: The story about Minnie's dream of the "antses" wedding. She said that the ants were in a log and she guessed she was little too 'cause she went in the log with them. And inside they were having a beautiful wedding, and they were dressed, and they had bridesmaids, and it was a beautiful wedding. Later Minnie told me that she couldn't draw the "antses" wedding, so she drew another picture to remind her of the "antses" wedding. And I have that picture and it bears no resemblance whatsoever to ants or a wedding. But it is a picture that reminds her of the "antses" wedding, and she drew it to remind her of that dream.

Minnie: Isn't that funny, though? I could have, couldn't I? To them, I could have been an ant, couldn't I?

Mrs Starr: That's right.

Mr Starr: You tell that story.

Minnie: Yeah. I wish one thing, that I could remember--I'm sure it was in '44, because the [[strikethrough]] worst [[strikethrough]] most of all of my dreams and everything was in '44. But this particular spot we call--on the other side of the--of the--on this side of the mort (?) graveyard. See the place is all torn up now. You really couldn't hardly find it, 'cause the storms have just torn all that all up. But I drempt I went--I had been passing this old log ever since I had been married and living down there. But that night I went-- I found myself in this log. And
