Mrs Starr: Which boy is that?

Minnie: George. My baby boy. He's there with me now. And other children say, "Well, Mama, we just don't understand it." And I don't try to make them understand. I said, "darling Some day you will." All I am to them is mama.

Mrs Starr: Minnie, I want-- You said you wanted someone to interpret your pictures and I'm going to try to. I'm going to work on interpreting your pictures. And it would help me interpret your pictures if you would tell me something about your family, your father, and your--

Minnie: You know-- Now, let's see. The last picture I had was taken on Friar [[interlinear margin note]] ? [[interlinear margin note]] Lawrence Street. That's the prophets up in the air. And the one I have with the fan and the rainbow was taken just a block from the hospital, the big James Walker Hospital in Wilmington.

Mrs Starr: What do you mean by "taken"? You mean--

Minnie: I mean I had that dream--

Mrs Starr: Oh, in your sleep. In your sleep? Well, you were in your sleep?

Minnie: That's where I was at. And then the one with the star, I was out there at the cemetery bridge. The soldier's cemetery. And that's very interesting.
