MINNIE EVANS

I am surprised at my own work. I look at some of them and you know and I have to say did I do that? (laughter)

N.H.S. Do you have swans at Airlie? Were there ever swans at Airlie?

M.E. Swans?

N.H.S. Yes

M.E. Yes, but I can just do that in my mind.

N.H.S. Do they have them at Airlie?

M.E. Yes. We have them at Airlie. We have the white swans and the black swans too but I haven't seen the black swans in a good while but they have them there. They get out and strut up and down the road and hold up traffic cause people don't want to hurt them (laughter). And this they look so strange and I didn't know I had this with, this I got a lot more of these. They are very strange to me. My own work. How did I do that and this and this. I thought I had left these home this morning. I had a boy round there looking

N.H.S. I brought these down from New York. I brought them down from New York. Do you understand? I brought them down from New York.

M.E. I see. These here?

N.H.S. Yes, all of these.

M.E. Oh, that's a big shoe.

N.H.S Now Minnie's got a book, a notebook with a spiral top and she calls it her angel book and we are going to look at them one by one and she's going to tell me about them. Now will you tell me about your angel book Minnie?

M.E. No

N.H.S Tell me about the angel book.

M.E. Well there's nothing new. I just paint the pictures and I call them - because every one I got - this one's got - let's see some angels in them and they are different ones.
