M.E. Dear Heavenly Father I do thank thee for letting me raise this morning and see a brand new day, you taken care of us through the night and I do thank you my Dear Heavenly Father for all the Beautiful gifts thou has given unto us, including life and His son Jesus. Heavenly Father I do thank thee for this food Thou has given unto us for the nourishment of our bodies, Christ Our Redeemer, Amen.

M.E. It came out?

N.H.S. Tell me when did you first see Lawyer Rountree?

M.E. Oh, when he was a baby his father brought him downstairs (laughter) wrapped up in a lot of blankets (laughter) and he said to me girl if you want to see something beautiful, look ahere and he had his boy. He was crazy about him because you see he was the baby and he had three sisters. They were Isabell, I think she died seem like in childbirth of something or other like that and so the next sister named Nita. His sister Nita is the onliest one living up in Chapel Hill and she was little as a bird (unintelligible). Very fine people. 

N.H.S. When did he first help you? When did Lawyer Rountree first help you? (M.E. Say when?) When did he fist help you? You told me he was your best friend. When?

M.E. Oh yes, you know he was our friend. I don't know we just knew when they was, when the judge and his mother use to come down to the lodge. They was great friends of the Joneses they was. I just knew him when he was a young boy and after he come out of college before he started to doing anything you know. I, he told me that (unintelligible) to visit he invited me to his home when they were living round on Summers Rest down there to bring my pictures there so he could see them and he had this (N.H.S thank you)
