MINNIE EVANS
M.E. Oh, I was down in the lodge, down in the park. We was down there in the lodge and (laughter) anyway he was given and he asked me to that was his wife's father, Mr. Johnson. Randolph Johnson and he was a great artist himself, a great artist, did some very beautiful paintings. So I use to take mine after I got through down there and carry them to his house for him to look at them. Tell me about them and he (interruption). Let me put Mama's sugars up. He said Minnie your pictures is gonna be great. You gonna have to have be selling some of them or something. You know he talked about it. I told him then I said well a lot of people have told me I was gonna have to have a lawyer or something like that. So I got him. I told Lawyer Rountree I wanted him to be in the middle (laughter) stand between me and whatever's happening because he know. He says alright Minnie. He would. But I didn't have no idea it was going to be all of this you know. 

N.H.S. That's good. 

M.E. Cause I didn't know nothing about. I didn't have any idea. 

N.H.S Did Lawyer Rountree have an exhibition? Did He have an exhibition in his home of your work? Did he have an exhibition of your work?

M.E. No mum, he didn't (N.H.S. well) No, he didn't.
