November, 1890.

The numbered accessions during the month were few and unimportant, as follows:

932. Case of Caddis-worm from T.v. Ringharz, Middletown, Va.

23724. A series of Insects, Spiders and Myriopods, for identification from C.R. Orcutt, San Diego, Cal.

23748. Acridium americanum, 1 sp., from Dr. Wm. H. Dall Smithsonian Institution.

23769. Specimen of wood carving done by white ants, from Rotho Harlson, Sappington, Mont.

3548. Walrus-parasite (Echinophthirius setosus, Lucas) from the Alaskan collection of Dr. W.H. Dall.

23772. Two species of Carabidae from H.W. Bailey, Newport News, Va.

The arrangement of Diptera was continued, and Mr. Linell was absent on leave ten days.
