Cloudy, foggy, rainy, calm.  Go out dredging in A.M. Isaac comes up in Caton's boat and informs us that he has gone to S. Francisco on the Vivid which sailed yesterday - After dinner heave up the anchor and go round to Coal Harbor wind very light NE. 9 P.M bar 29.930 anchor in Coal Harbor about 6:30 P.M. Dix sent his boy to Unga in the dory but the boy had not arrived.  Evening put tiny specimens in order-

Cloudy, foggy, rainy, wind lt S. Ther. 50. 60 47. Bar 29.900 work over plotting.  Capt. Hall goes out dredging with great success
