3. The naming of specimens for collectors. 52 larger and smaller series of insects of insects of all orders have been identified for correspondents, representing about 3000 species.

4. The selection of material to be sent to specialists for study and determination, as here indicated:

a. A series of Californian Hemiptera-Heterupters has been sent to zprof. A.L. Moniandon of Bucarest, Roumania, [[Bucharest, Romania.]]

b. The material in the Noctuid genera Xylomiges and Cucullia was sent to Prof. J.S. Smith, New Brunswick, N.J., to assist him in his study of these groups.

c. A series of Geometridae, mostly collected in the Death Valley, Cal., was sent to Dr. A.S. Packard of Providence for determination.
