In the Hymenoptera some of the families have been studied and the accessions incorporated.

6.  Mounting, expanding and labelling specimens for the collection:  Much time is taken up by this work, as a large percent of the accessions arrive unmounted and all have to be labelled before distribution in the collections.

Most of the special researches based upon Museum material are [[strikethrough]] maintained and or [[/strikethrough]] mentioned under paragraph 4 of section iii on routine work.  In addition to these, however, Mr. W. H. Ashmead has completed his Monograph of the Proctotrypidae of North America, based very largely on Museum material.  This is the first monograph written upon the American representations of this group.
