FOR AUGUST, 1891

√ 24723 - Eggs and newly hatched young of Murgantia munda Stal, from Dr. James H. Lowe, [[strikethrough]] knoig [[/strikethrough]] Knights Ferry, Cal.

√ 24730 - Sp. Polyphemus moth from Speed S. Menefee, Louisville, Ky.

Besides these regular accessions, specimens were received from 42 different parties for examination and report, all of which were duly reported upon.  A large series of insects of various orders (Acc. 1387) was identified for Wm. Kayser, Wapakoneta, Ohio, and many smaller lots for the visitors to the Scientific meetings, that were held in this city during the month.  All facilities were also offered these visitors for personal inspection of the public collections.

The spare time during the month was devoted to the determination of the material collected
