The species of Lepidoptera collected by Dr. W. L. Abbott in Masai Land and on Kilimanjaro are enumerated, with references, synonomy and notes on their distribution and variations.  Of butterflies there are 91 species, of which 6 species and one subspecies are described as new.  The species of moths are 43, of which 16 species and one genus are new.  19 of the new species are figured on the plates.
