Resp'y returned to Mrs. J.S. Griffing. Agent of late there have been quite a number of cases of negligence such as this in official papers forwarded from the N. Capts. Office, causeing much trouble and annoyance besides a waste of valuable time.
One person at Mrs. G's office should examine applications before they are forwarded to see that they are at least properly directed, dated and signed.
A little attention to this will expedite matters very much.
