Respy returned. In my opinion it would be well to retain Mr. Coulter, until the employment agencies in this city are discontinued, in view of the special fitness for that work which I believe him to possess.  He served faithfully in the Army.

Resp'y returned to Bt Lt Col Johnson, S.A.C. with the following report. James Alexander gives a reluctant promise to take care of his sister-in-law for a time. James A. states that his brother (Sophia's husband) is employed in a Brick yard and is or ought to be, perfectly able to support his wife, and not have her a "Dependent Freedwoman."
