Sophie's husband lives in Washington D.C. and from conversation with his brother James Alexander [who lives here],  I learn that he [Sophie's husband] is employed in a Brick yard in the District, and is, or ought to be, perfectly able to support his wife in Washington, or to pay her transportation to this place.
