Thomas Carter Col. who make the en-closed Statement is a good Carpenter -and is employed at the Howard Institute - the statement he makes relative to owning a Lot of Land and being able to support his Family if sent to this city is correct, if this Family is in any way liable to become a charge on the Government - I would recommend that they be transported to this city.
