Resp'y returned - On the 6th inst I forwarded report relative to the alleged loss of money by Mr. S.S. Chamberlin. Late Sup"t Wisewell + East Cap"t Bk's. and I have the honor to make further report in compliance with instructions of this date. On or about the 6th De"c 1867. Mr. Chamberlin, reported to me that he had been robbed of about $100. - under the following circumstances - that he changed his coats at Wisewell Barracks, previous to visiting East Cap"t Bks hanging one up in the Office at the former place, the one taken off. In the

pocket of which he inadvertently left his "pocket Book" containing about $100.- after being absent about 2 hours he returned and found the Pocket Book had been abstracted - after a carefull personal examination of the circumstances I become satisfied that John Laskey (then a Watchman at the Barrakcs) was the Guilty party,- and accordingly lodged complaint at Police H"d Qrs.- and a detective was at once sent to the Camp and arrested "Laskey"- but after keeping him confined 2 days, he was discharged- there not being sufficient evidence to hold him to Court - this is all I know of the case.

Resp'y returned - the services of Mrs White. a competent cutter of female wearing apparel- has been secured at the Rate of 10c per garment- i.e. dress Shirts, Sacques & cheniuse - I thought it best to let the work out by the piece, as we would get the garments cut faster than by employing. a person by the Month.
The garments are cut well, & with a wonderfull saving in materials - besides we now have regular sizes - the [[?]] of issuing cut garments for manufacture) to the Indt"l schools works most admirably, the cutting is done at Wiseweill Barrakcs & under the Personal supervision of the Local Supt., D.O. Mrs. White, is a widow + Sister -in-law of Rev John Kimbal. Sup"t Marriages & Education D.C.
