Wesley Williams the father of the within named Rachael is now employed as Cook by Genl Canby in this city.
He states that he is anxious to have his daughter with him - and that in Feby last he sent to Mrs Mary M. Fennick (care of Capt. James Rudd residing on Jefferson St. bet 2" & 3d Sts in Louisville the sum of $14.00 with request that Rachael should be sent to Washington by Express.
They acknowledged receipt of money and replied that as soon as the weather becomes mild and they could find some one in whose charge she could be sent, they would send her. Her father desires that she may come immediately. He is amply able to support her after her arrival.
