Miss Carter, Miss Waters of whom enquiry was made concerning this case, states that Frances Herbert, was formerly the slave of Mrs. Duvall, sister of Mrs Wall, and that by Mrs Wall's will there was no provision made for her.
She leaving all her property to an orphan asylum.  Miss Waters is one of the administrators of her sisters estate.
