Makes statement in reference to the duties of Wm B. Jefferson Emp. Agent. States that he has been employed outside offering employment to such as more out of work. He further states, that he is not aware that he has received any material aid from him. 
Since the 26th of May, he has been employed in seeing the attendance of colored children, to the Public schools. 

June 1 1867 O.L.S.D.C. No 880.|Clark S.N.  Bt Maj & A.A.I.Genl  E.B.1 Vol385. O.L.S.D.C. | Washington, D.C. May 31" 1867. 
States that Milly Alexander complains that her husband Moses Alexander, has left her and married another woman, she has five children of which Moses is the father, which he refuses to support. Directs that the case be fully investigated.

States that he has known Moses Alexander & Milly his wife for more than twenty years, and that up to 1862 they lived together as man & wife, since 1851, with the knowledge & consent of their owners, And that there is no doubt that Milly is his lawful wife.  


June 6" 1867 O.L.S.D.C. No 882 | Langston Jno M. Inspector of schools E.B.387. O.L.S.D.C. '67 | Washington D.C. June 3d 1867. 
Reports that he has inspected the National Farm School, under the supervision of H. Dr. Maisel, Esqr and finds "the children neither governed nor taught, and in a most pitiable physical & moral condition." 
Recommends that a Reform school be stated and that the children be transferred there to &c.
