|July 17" 1867 O.L.S DC. No. 1001|Day Paul W. EB 2 Vol 31. O.L.S. '64|July 4th 1867 States he would as soon part with his son as with the boy whom he raised up in his house from his in-fancy and the boy is unwilling to leave there.

|July 19th 1867 O.L.S. DC No. 1002|Rogers W.W. A.A.A. Gen'l EB 2 Vol 32. OLS|States Mrs. M.V. Wright, Emp. Agent, has just returned from [[Moosufer?]]Conn. where she had been sent by the Bureau to secure the return to her Aunt, Leona Hughes, in this City, of Laura Jones. And from the statement of Mrs. Wright & certificate of Laura Jones, that her Aunt, has rec. & is now receiving, a pension of ($6) dollars per month from the Gov't. which belongs to Laura. Said money has been paid by Justice Hollingshead of this City. 
Laura is with Miss Aimee Lowell of Boston, Mass.
The Ass't Comm. directs that the case be investigated & see that the pension be paid to the girl to whom it belongs.
