My Dear Brother. My wife earnestly desires me to write and ask if you could send us, or put us in a way to obtain a colored girl to assist her as maid of the ale works. We desire our daughters (3 in no) to go to school. They are now of an age to attend school if they ever do. Our family is not large, only 4 when I am away. Which is most of the time. You are aware of the duties in a ministers family and what a ministers wife need or Mrs. A does. Please write me what you can do for me. I am aware that this is taxing you muchly but I know of no one so well able to give me the information I need either in part
