Sir, 
Your letter of December 4th 1866 is received  I answer in reply that the Gentleman who wishes the Servant will pay $3.00 per month board and clothe her give her 4 months schooling a year in a first class New England School. He wishes a girl from 18 to 20 years or about that age. one 16 would be preferred and one of ordinary intelligence, that can be educated. The family Mr R P. Rurbanks is a Family of the highest respectability. The Family is not large consisting of Himself wife and wife's sister I believe. I believe it to be a first class place for a servant. The business of having Colored servants is not new to me I having been for 1 1/2 year Superintendent of the Bureau
