Colonel:  The Assistant Commissioner has ordered a quantity of wood to be placed at the disposal of Maj. Townsend and Rev Mr Roberts for issue  He directs that you instruct them to issue whatever may be necessary to prevent suffering during the cold weather; and that they will be held responsible for its judicious distribution.

Should you deem it necessary the Assistant Commissioner desires that you specify other points where wood should be kept for issue.
