Dear Sir,
Mr James Forrest of this place requests me to ask you if he could procure a Woman from the Freedmen's Bureau for a domestic and if so, how? he wants a middle aged woman who has been raised in the country; he is willing to pay her liberal wages and also to comply with the regulations of the Bureau whatever they may be.
Mr. Forrest is and has been always a sound Union man, in good circumstances and of good character, and can give satisfactorily references if desired. If they will send him such a person as described, it can be done by Express directed to care of S. M. Kepler, Philipsburg Pa
