Dear Sir

The 25th of Febauary I applied to Mr. A.J. Howard of Burlington Agent of the Freedmans Beaureau for three colard persons  one man from 18 to 25 to take care of Horses worke in the Garden &c  Also one woman from 18 to 25 to cook & doe House work  also one girl 16 to 18 to do genral Housework if the man was marrid it would bee no objection provided thay had no children.  I saw Mr. Howard to day he said that he sent the order and recieved the acknoligement of it but since has herd nothing.  has wrote
