Mr. D.L. Smith

Boston
May 1. 1867.

Dr. Sir,

We have been in hopes you would be able to send us some women ere this - but none have arrived - nor do we get any encouraging letters from you or from any one else.

Please write by return mail what the prospects are. & also send me some money as per agreement-

I have expended over $100- in the House for furniture - one half of which belongs to you to pay. If you hand it to Gen Howard he will send it with the rent, one month being due to day.

Respy Ralph Haskins.
