Sir:-
I have the honor to request transportation for the following named freed-people from Washington, D.C. to the places set opposite their names where work has been secured for them. These people are unable to find employment in this vicinity, and cannot by proper industry and exertion avoid destitution, suffering or dependence.

Rebecca the wife who is highly recommended by Capt McNulty Supt at Culpepper, is a hard working and deserving woman.
