Major
I have the honor to enclose herewith the case of Rebecca & M. T Mitchell & submit the following report in reference to the case.

M. T. Mitchell the husband of Beckey Mitchell ran away from her at this place last fall I succeeded in tracing the fellow to Frankforth Ross Co. Ohio. That was the last I heard of him until I learned he had turned up in Washington recently and was following his old trade that of a Barber. He is or was at the time I. knew him here an excellent workman & was reported to be a very intelligent & industrius man His health at that time was good. Beckey his wife is well known here as being a very industrius woman. She claims that Mitchell took away all the money they had saved which she says amt to about $200.00
