Sir:
I have the honor to state that since I have had charge of this office, I have necessarily corresponded with persons in different parts of the country, and am at present in receipt of letters requiring answers.

I have had no regular supply of postage, and I take occasion to say, that my position as employment Agent; corresponding with persons on business connected with the office, renders it indespensibly necessary that I should be furnished with about three dollars worth of postage per month, and I therefore earnestly, but respectfully
