Dear Liv:
There are in the locality known as "Fredericksburg" in this city three or four houses occupied by poor old colored women who are physically unable to whitewash their houses nor have the means of employing others to do it for them. There is also a school house and a meetinghouse which no one seems inclined to attend to in this regard.

If possible I would suggest that two or three laborers be sent by you to those houses to whitewash the buildings mentioned above.
