The Assistant Commissioner directs, that steps be taken at once to have the child Anne Hughes, who was sent to Connecticut by Mr Wright Employment Agent without the consent of her guardians is returned to them in this city.

She has been under the care of Leona Hughes a respectable colored woman, who is represented as amply able to provide for her.

Mrs Hughes lives on J. Street between E & F South (Island).

The parties with whom she is living will be informed of the reason for her return.

Please report your action in this matter.
