Captain,

I am directed by the Asst. Commissioner to inform you, that in accordance with your suggestions Mrs. Tilman, Employment Agent at Jersey City has been directed to be at the Depot in Jersey City at the time of the arrival of the trains there, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays of each week, to receive and forward to their destination such parties of freedpeople as may be sent North by that route.

The number sent to Providence, R. I. being so few, it will be considered sufficient to telegraph to Mr. H. G. Stewart, Agent at that place, informing him of the time of departure from
