To Major General Howard
Dear Sir having just commenced the business of which I send you a circular the idea of keeping colored servants has prompted me to ask information of you in what way I could, if at all, be supplied with male & female servants, from the freedmen & women of the South the inquiry for Black Servants is increasing. Could arrangements be made for their support untill hired out, or in what way can your department advise I could get several women placed in West Chester County N.Y immediately but there would have to be someway provided for their support [[strikethrough]] your [[strikethrough]] untill sent out.

Yours Respectfully
R Webber
