Respectfully forwarded for intructions in the premises. the records of this office show the following order "Office Local supt D.C. Aug 3d 1867" "Major Townsend Supt Kendall Green" " will discharge the following named" "Employers - and drop their names" "from the Rolls this date. Viz." "Robert Terrell, Henry Hall and Henry" "Ennis" - signed. "S. N. Clark Bvt." "Major & A. A. I. Genl Act. Local" "Supt. D.C." - Major Townsend states that the Asst. Commr. gave him verbal instructions to retain the men until the 12th. but that he discharged them on the 8th inst.

I respectfully request permission to put them on my Rolls, for (7) seven days in August, instead of 3 days (as per order of endorsement of Major Clark if the Asst. Comr. D.C. intended the men should be employed after the 3d inst.
