Madame: The Asst Comr directs me to notify you that investigation has been had of the cases reported by you of date Mch 28. April 1st (two lists), and April 3 with the following results:

Nathan Taplin (or Tappan), needs small amounts of childrens clothing which is ordered.

Elizabeth Brown: self and children earning fair wages; not destitute as reported.

Lucy Hill & husband, John Hill, latter is a plasterer, earning good wages; not sick as you report. Two daughters at work earning  $3.00 and $6.00 per month: one son in army: consequently it is believed their destitution is not extreme. Lucy states that she applied to Mrs Griffing because the latter has assisted others needing relief less than she did.

Wilson Fisher is a proper subject for Freedmans Village been ordered admission thereto.

Susan McGuire: also a proper subject for Freedmans Village (over)
