James Looker needs no assistance further than employment, which has been furnished.
The attention of Mrs. Griffing is called to the fact, somewhat significant of carelessness, that almost none of the persons reported by her as destitute, are found at the residence given. It is desired that unless some very special reason exists, no person be reported twice, as has happened in several cases upon consecutive lists.
Of the cases ordered admitted to Freedmans Village, should any refuse their cases cannot be afterwards entertained for other forms of assistance as the destitution cannot be great under which the suffer can refuse a comfortable asylum.

Respectfully etc.
(Signed) Stuart Eldridge
