nearly three years. I have assisted many a one of them to obtain their liberty during the war. I would have been glad to have assisted more of them. One of them with a wife [[crossed-out]] but not too many [[crossed-out]] without children prefered or both single men. Please send them to Syracuse N.Y. thence to Onondaga Hill. May call at Nye & Walters, Blacksmith Shop, & they will direct them to my place. I had not thought of you in your present capacity until tonight. Please send as soon as possible, together with reply to this.
