Major J. W. Vandenburgh
Local Supt. D.C.

Major
I have the honor to state that that I have just returned from Major Brown's office where I went to see about the shingles for the Roof of Hd Quarters Building. The Major said that if I would send the dimensions of the Roof to you this evening and you let him have it tomorrow morning early that he could calculate the number of [[strikethrough]] shil [[/strikethrough]] shingles needed, that he would make arrangements with you to send for them at once.

Please say to the bearer of this whether the order to Major Brown requires him to put the Roof on? or shall I have to request for Carpenters? I am anxious to have it on.

Your Obedient Servant
O S B Wall.
