36 Among those consulted are the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, the Art Institue of Chicago, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the National Cathedral of Washington. These inquiries testify, almost without exception, to the value of such associations in contributing to the usefulness of these institutions through a broader understanding and support of their work by large numbers of interested people. On motion by Senator Saltonstall, seconded by Senator Fulbright, it was VOTED that the Board of Regents gives approval to initiating a "society of associates" and directs the Secretary to report annually on its progress. Date for the Annual Meeting of Board of Regents On motion by Senator Saltonstall, seconded by Mr. Fleming, the following resolution was approved.
